Fatima’s practice focuses on commercial disputes, with a particular interest in international arbitration and litigation. She has experience in commercial and investment treaty arbitrations conducted under the rules of ICC and ICSID, along with a wide range of litigation matters, including breach of contract claims, partnership disputes, and product liability claims.
Clients value the global perspective Fatima brings to her practice. Fluent in Urdu, she completed summer associateships at law firms in Pakistan, the UAE, and the UK; studied law in Scotland; and holds a master’s degree in international affairs and human rights. Relying on the insights gained during her travels across the globe, she has developed strong cultural competency skills that contribute to positive outcomes in cross-border matters.
Prior to joining Hicks Johnson, Fatima served as a legal extern at the International Law Institute in Washington, D.C., where she assisted with research related to investment treaty arbitration and public international law.
